Kana Quiz

Kana refers to the two syllabic writing systems used in Japanese: Hiragana and Katakana. >>>

There is no right way to use the Kana Quiz, you can use it how ever you want. The only goal is to learn all the characters. You will be shown a character, which you will have to type in romaji. The application will then tell you whether your answer was right or wrong.

If you are a beginner, you might want to start by choosing the first two groups (a -> ko) of hiragana. Once you have learned them with a 100% success rate, add in one or two more groups. Aim for the perfection - you want to be answering in less than one second. In the beginning you most likely cannot know the answers, so just enter false answers and it'll tell you what the correct answer was.
